Online Portion

The online portion covers the essential cognitive content for the class using program video segments and interactive exercises.  Upon successful completion of the online lesson a report is generated.  This document should be submitted to us in order to schedule your clinical skills session.

Blended/On-line Options

Technology now allows for individuals to undertake course lessons on their own time schedule at home or work.  The AHA and ASHI offers individuals options of doing independent study following guided programs available on-line.  This format still requires the student to demonstrate proficiency with the skills covered within the course.

In-person Portion

During the In-person portion the student will work with an instructor to develop competent skills through hands-on practice and demonstration.  This portion of the program requires the participant to submit evidence of successful completion of the on-line portion prior to scheduling a time for the face to face meeting.

Most courses have an option for blended learning.  Keep in mind that in some cases there will be a time limit or restrictions on the number of times that you may be able to attempt to complete a task. As an example, the AHA BLS for HCP course requires that you successfully complete the post-test within two attempts.  The AHA ACLS and PALS courses must be completed within 24 total hours of screen time.  (The average time reported by AHA for their on-line training in these courses was between 12 and 14 hours.)  To obtain a quote or get more information for this training option click on the button below and complete the course request form.
