Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS):
Full Course
This course emphasizes important concepts of applying a systemic approach to assessing a pediatric patient experiencing cardiopulmonary arrest, respiratory distress or failure, compensated and decompensated shock, cardiac arrhythmias, and post-cardiac-arrest management.
Course includes discussion and skills related to pediatric basic life support, advanced life support treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.
Pre-course preparation requires obtaining and reviewing the PALS manual and complete the PALS Precourse Self-Assessment with a score of 70% or higher
prior to attending the class.
Course is administered over two days with day 1 lasting approximately 7 hours and Day 2 requiring approximately 4 hours. Requires a minimum of 5 particpants.
