Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death worldwide. While most people would think of this as being related to heart disease they often fail to realize that the majority of strokes are due to cardiovascular disease. Lifestyle is a major contributing factor in the progression of vascular changes that can lead to disease. This course is designed to help participants recognize symptoms of increase stress and the lifestyle choices that can and will decrease the quality of life. Participants will assess the basic pathway of how the heart and mind work together and learn to interpret self-regulating behaviors and coping mechanisms that can reduce the incidence of cardiovascular events.
